Banished heir Kael has never carried the bond every Valen warrior needs, until he discovers Dramor, an abandoned silver wyrmling. Hunted and desperate, the two forge an ancient covenant while concealing the force growing between them. At the clan trials, whispers rise around an unknown rider wreathed in flame. When Dramor is gravely injured protecting Kael, a dormant second rune ignites, unleashing a fearsome union of storm and fire.
