To reclaim the vast fortune left behind by her grandfather, Viscountess Melris takes a desperate gamble at a masquerade ball. She seduces a mysterious silver-haired, red-eyed attendant in hopes of bearing his child — a child she plans to use as leverage to secure her inheritance. What she does not realize is that the man she has entangled herself with is none other than Eric, a ruthless and unhinged grand general who takes pleasure in killing.
Now, caught in his relentless pursuit, Melris must deceive the world, outwit her scoundrel husband, and eliminate the scheming maidservant — all while struggling to survive the dangerous game she has set in motion.
