At seven, Princess Ruby Zephyr carries a deadly frost spell that begins turning her sister Talia's heart to ice. Refusing to let Talia sacrifice herself, Ruby vanishes, surrendering her wolf nature and every trace of her past. Eleven years later, Queen Talia follows a fragile hope to a mountain town academy, where a gifted, gentle girl has the same striking violet eyes. Watching the student suffer cruel treatment, Talia steps in and stirs memories Ruby buried long ago. As Ruby's Ice Wolf awakens, those who tormented her learn they have crossed both a queen and the sister fate tried to erase.
