WORLD BACKGROUND & ORIGIN STORY
Ten thousand years ago, a catastrophic nuclear war nearly wiped human civilization off the face of the Earth.
Technology and the global economy collapsed, plunging humanity back into the Age of Steam. Gears, steam engines, and gas lamps replaced electronics and digital networks. Humanity never reached the cyberpunk future it had once imagined. Instead, it became trapped in a twilight world of iron, coal, and smoke.
From the darkness emerged the Vampire Race, a species that had lain dormant for ten thousand years.
Seizing the opportunity presented by humanity's downfall, the vampires rose to power. Armed with biological and genetic technologies far beyond anything humans could comprehend, they engineered countless monstrous beasts to serve as laborers, enforcers, and instruments of oppression.
Calling themselves "Nobles," they established a ruthless empire built upon the supremacy of bloodlines.
Human beings were reduced to nothing more than fuel, living blood banks, and playthings within the vast estates of the vampire aristocracy.
To survive, humanity gave birth to the Hunters' Association — an underground force of warriors who enhanced their bodies with steam-powered machinery and dedicated their lives to hunting vampires and genetically engineered monsters.
Yet there was one man feared and despised by both the Hunters' Association and the Vampire Council of Nobles.
A lone wanderer who rode a black horse through the endless wastelands.
His name was...
Z.
He was the descendant of a human mother and the First Vampire Progenitor — the only hybrid of his kind in existence.
He did not age.
He could not be killed.
And yet, he had never belonged anywhere.
Humans feared the monster's blood flowing through his veins.
The vampire nobility despised him as a living disgrace to the purity of their bloodline.
Rejected by both worlds, Z wandered through the ruins of civilization, carrying an existence that was both a curse and a weapon.
He had become a blade without a sheath.
Anyone who touched him would bleed.
Even Z himself.
