Aria and her twin sister Aurora married Alpha twin brothers Alexander and Ethan — and the entire pack believed this was a blessing from the Moon Goddess.
Five months pregnant, Aria was ambushed by rogue wolves in the forest. She reached out to her mate Alexander through the mind-link nine times, begging for help. By the tenth call, his only response was cold rejection.
The rogue wolves tore her unborn child apart right before her eyes.
Aurora rushed to save her sister, but was poisoned by silver in the process — losing her ability to shift, forever. Ethan, too, chose Victoria over his mate's cries for help.
What the twins didn't know was that their obsession with their stepsister had never been innocent. The entire attack had been orchestrated by Victoria herself.
Once the truth came to light, Aria and Aurora stopped begging to be chosen. They walked straight into the Alpha Council and made a demand the twins never saw coming: a complete, irreversible severance of the mate bond.
