As their transaction deepens, Locke protects her from her abusive ex and jealous rivals. Emma moves into his estate, where nightly feedings blur the line between deal and desire. Locke tears up the contract, giving her freedom—but she chooses to stay. They become a family, bound not by money, but by love.
