Jealous Hera casts Leto's infant son and daughter into the human world, leaving one unable to speak and the other unable to see. For a decade, the children endure chains, cruelty, and aristocrats who treat their suffering as amusement, while their desperate mother searches without rest. Leto finally reaches them beside a slaughtered shrine, disguised in torn beggar's clothes. Mocked by the men who own them, she reduces an enormous stone to powder. As killers close in, divine power surges through the twins: the boy commands the sun's fire, the girl summons the moon's deadly steel, and Leto prepares to bring the gods to ruin.
