I Only Wanted His Heir, But He Wanted Me

Xia Xingran has been in a marriage‑of‑convenience with Huo Tingyun for two years, living in a sex‑less union. Her original goal is plain and simple: to conceive a child with Huo Tingyun’s genes. She makes bold advances toward Huo Tingyun, only to be met with his scorn. Infuriated, she heads to a club seeking another partner, which ignites Huo Tingyun’s rage. Thus begins their turbulent love‑hate dynamic.

Far from a delicate damsel, Xia Xingran is a fierce, sharp‑witted woman hiding dual identities: heiress of the Shen family and a top‑tier capital trader. She never tolerates malice, striking back hard against gossiping workplace rivals and vengeful thugs, as well as An Yuxi, the stand‑in for Huo Tingyun’s supposed white moonlight. Admired by Qin Shiyue and pursued by her returned first love Song Xingye, Xia Xingran draws plenty of suitors, stoking Huo Tingyun’s overwhelming possessiveness. Gradually, the domineering tycoon realizes he has long fallen for his nominal wife.

Just as their bond thaws, the real “white moonlight” Chu Qingyi returns. She produces forged keepsakes to falsely claim she saved Huo Tingyun from a car crash years ago, throwing their relationship into chaos. Piece by piece, the truth unfolds: the girl who risked her life to rescue Huo Tingyun on that stormy night is none other than Xia Xingran, the wife he had overlooked and hurt time and again.

Once the truth comes to light, Huo Tingyun throws himself into an ardent pursuit to win her back. Refusing to accept defeat, a deranged Chu Qingyi forms an alliance with the corrupted Song Xingye. The pair lay deadly traps: tampering with car brakes, hiring assassins, short‑selling Huo Group’s stocks, and kidnapping loved ones. Faced with mounting dangers, Xia Xingran unleashes her full power. Side‑by‑side with Huo Tingyun, she foils every scheme. All villains are brought to justice for their crimes.

After surviving countless life‑and‑death trials, the pair resolve all misunderstandings. Xia Xingran conceives triplets. Following a perilous premature labor ordeal, she safely gives birth to three extraordinarily gifted children. Five years later, the clever, mischievous triplets constantly play pranks on their father. Chu Qingyi stages a fake illegitimate‑daughter scandal as her last act of revenge; her plot collapses, and she meets her tragic end.

With all threats eliminated, Huo Tingyun holds a spectacular century‑scale wedding and swears to give her everything he owns. In the years that follow, Xia Xingran rises as a formidable queen of the business world. The couple jointly controls their vast business empire. As time passes, they hand over the family enterprise to their grown children and set off on a round‑the‑world journey. Looking back on all past misunderstandings and battles, they find lasting happiness in their fated, mutual love.
