Mara Quinn agrees when her amnesiac Alpha husband asks for divorce. Rowan Hale has forgotten their marriage, but not his body's reaction to her: one collision at the clerk's office and he wants to court her "properly, with marriage as the goal." Mara tries a gentle cat orc, yet only Rowan can make her burn. During rut, the strongest Apex commander cuffs himself and gives her the key, proving he can stop when she says stop. When his memories return, the truth hits: he chose Mara before, and without memories, chose her again.
