At St. Clair Academy, Lola clashes with Cade—the school’s most feared King 4 member—on her first day. That night, she discovers the arrogant boy from the pool is now her stepbrother.
A mysterious ruby necklace soon binds them together: whenever Lola thinks of Cade, he is pulled to her side. By day, they are enemies; by night, their secret encounters blur the line between anger and desire.
As campus queen Chloe targets Lola with rumors and cruelty, gentle Julian becomes her only apparent ally. But when betrayal, scandal, and family pressure threaten to tear everything apart, Cade must prove that he is willing to give up more than his pride for her.
Lola must decide whether to leave for a new life—or choose the love she never meant to find.
