Li Xiaojuan, a divorced mother, raised her son Sun Dongliang alone. She met Su Pei, a widowed doctor, and asked for 300,000 yuan as a bride price for her son’s future. However, Sun Dongliang’s fiancée framed him in a car accident, leaving him in a coma. Unbeknownst to him, his fiancée, pregnant with her lover’s child, conspired with her lover to harm Sun Dongliang and Li Xiaojuan for his insurance money and demolition compensation.
Su Pei secretly helped Sun Dongliang recover, while the fiancée was later killed by her lover, who was arrested. Li Xiaojuan was initially angry at Su Pei for hiding his identity, but he eventually won her trust. The two found happiness together, had a new baby, and Sun Dongliang, no longer naive in love, returned to a normal life.
