She killed him six times. Each time, he forgot her. Each time, she fell in love again.
Now, on the seventh, she's a ruined heiress sold at auction—and he buys her. The magnetic pull is instant. Their bodies remember what their minds don't.
But when she finally plunges the knife into his heart, he doesn't die. He awakens with golden eyes. He is the devil she made a deal with. Every death was his ascension.
Devastated, she flees. He tears out his own godhood—five centuries of power—to become mortal, just to find her. Endures a hundred lashes until his back is shredded. For one chance to hold her without hurting her.
True nirvana isn't emptiness. It's surrender to love.
