Ethan and Sarah had been together for ten years. But on the eve of their wedding, Leo—a student from the slums whom Ethan had been sponsoring—moved into their wedding house ahead of time and even put on Ethan's engagement ring. When Ethan confronted Sarah, she not only took Leo's side defensively, scolding Ethan for overthinking, but also left an injured Ethan alone to attend to Leo, committing one hurtful act after another.Heartbroken and disillusioned, Ethan decisively called off the engagement, kicked Leo out of the wedding house, and demanded back rent. After losing Ethan, Sarah was consumed by regret while simultaneously being dragged into a relentless nightmare by Leo's family. Meanwhile, through his friend Sam, Ethan reconnected with his old classmate Chloe. As they worked side by side building their careers and navigating life together, feelings quietly grew between them. In the end, Ethan embraced a brand new chapter of his own.
