For eight years, Silas secretly bankrolled his fiancée Jolene's rise in cinema, until her manager Jax traded his identity to investors and prepared to traffic the cast's confidential records while Jolene remained silent. During a televised contract event, Silas cancels an eight million dollar deal, locks down the money, and calls in every debt. He remakes the project with fearless unknown Elowen, creating a forty-eight point seven million dollar hit that earns an Academy Award. Three years later, Jolene begs him to take her back, but Silas gives her no second glance. Her latest picture must face the system, not his mercy.
