To escape royal schemes, a dragon princess hides behind a deliberately altered appearance and seeks an ordinary life. On the day she is meant to marry, her betrothed Kano and her cousin Leia betray her and leave her for dead. Rescued by Torin, the rightful Dragon King, she spends five years forging herself into a force no court can control. When she returns, bloodline tests and a war against dark dragons stand between her and the crown, but she is ready to prove that power belongs to the woman who claims it.
