Nine-tailed fox princess Lyra hides her identity, serving dragon emperor Kael for three hundred years as a lowly red fox. To save him, she sacrifices three tails and her healing core, sealing her royal bloodline, yet never earns a title or respect. When Kael arranges a political marriage, demanding she step aside for white fox Maeve, Lyra's heart finally dies. She reclaims her identity as nine-tailed fox princess and marries the serpent emperor who has silently protected her all along. Kael realizes too late what he's lost and chases her desperately, but Lyra is no longer the foolish fox who'd sacrifice everything for him. Her new husband is stronger and cherishes her more.
