Shireen, daughter of a fallen noble, is drugged by her stepsister and stumbles into a temple, where she sleeps with Pharaoh Khesus and becomes bound to him by a curse—if one dies, so does the other. Repeatedly persecuted by her family and the powerful, she fights back time and again in desperate situations. Rising from a misunderstood "scarlet woman" to the Queen of Egypt who bears miracle-granting sons, she finally clears her name, reclaims her dignity, and stands beside the Pharaoh to protect Egypt.
