Seven years ago, Fallon, the sole heir of the Northfall Kingdom, eloped for love, renouncing her throne. She hid her identity with Kellan, her savior, becoming a scorned "stray mate" among the Emberfang wolf pack.
For seven years, she endured humiliation. Yet Kellan spent his days with his late brother’s widow Briar to seize power, letting the pack treat her and her five-year-old son Knox like servants and bastards. Publicly rejected on her son’s birthday and brutally beaten, Fallon’s heart died.
She stopped holding back, awakened her royal blood power, and fled back to Northfall with Knox. When her father, the Alpha King, passed the crown to them, Kellan and the pack realized whom they had wronged. Kellan was forced to mark Briar, then stabbed by her; both died. The declining Emberfang pack begged for mercy but was refused. Fallon and Knox ascended, completing a sharp rise from disdained mate to supreme queen.
