Wealthy heiress Vanessa grows tired of her husband Ethan's lack of spark, so she leaves him for her robot boyfriend and coldly commits Ethan to an AI re-education facility for "upgrading." Three years later, Ethan returns—cold, mechanical, and hollow. Manipulated by her robot lover 233, Vanessa torments Ethan at every turn, treating him like a malfunctioning machine. But when an AI ethics officer uncovers the truth and helps Ethan track down his long-lost biological parents—who turn out to be billionaires—the officer exposes Vanessa's cruelty in public. Abandoned by everyone, Vanessa watches as Ethan seizes control of the empire and rises from the ashes, a man reborn.
