Genius engineer Helena breaks off her cheating fiancé, secures 5% of the company, and quits in style. She rescues Holden, a striking robot slated for disposal, only to find he is far from obedient—he rejects commands, challenges her, and keeps crossing lines in their private moments. When he whispers a secret tied to her long-dead first love, Helena is shaken. She realizes she hasn’t brought home a machine, but something far more dangerous: a presence that has waited eight years beyond life and death.
