Axel is a ghost, a Russian operative buried deep inside the underground fighting circuit, sent to infiltrate the empire of Dante, the most feared mafia don on the continent. His ticket in? A brutal cage match where he publicly defies the don, then holds back the killing blow. The bait works. Dante brings him home.
But the mansion is a cage of its own. When Axel gets caught cracking the don's safe, his only alibi is a forged love letter, a lie that accidentally ignites Dante's twisted obsession. When assassins strike, Axel sees his moment. He steps in front of the bullet meant for Dante. Bleeds for him. Nearly dies for him.
The reward? The don's absolute trust, and an S-level pass to every secret in the empire. Now Axel is inside the heart of the beast. But the deeper he goes, the blurrier the line becomes between mission and something far more dangerous.
He came to betray him. He didn't plan to fall for him.
