Nora humbly spent eleven years by Cayden Moretti, heir to the Moretti family—only to be dumped and publicly humiliated after he began pursuing his new love, Chloe.
Brokenhearted, she cuts ties with her old life and returns to her small hometown, where she meets Luca, a gentle and considerate tenant. Cherished and cared for by him, Nora heals from her heartbreak and the two fall in love; Luca, in truth, is the mafia don who controls the city's entire underground underworld.
Without Nora, Cayden goes mad with regret. Driven by possessive obsession, he harasses her relentlessly and even kidnaps her to an abandoned manor to force a marriage. In the nick of time, Luca storms the manor with his men and risks his life to save her. Cayden's father, Victor, arrives and strips Cayden of his inheritance for good. Finally free from her emotional prison, Nora accepts Luca's proposal at a private art exhibition and finds the respect and happiness she deserves.
