Misprinted Coin

The protagonist, Sophie Chen, is a 34-year-old coin appraiser at a prestigious Chicago auction house. The precious modern Chinese mechanism coins (including a misprinted coin valued at $3 million) left by her mother were secretly sold by her husband Richard, with whom she had been married for eight years, and the proceeds were used to support his mistress. Without exposing the deception on the spot, Sophie leveraged her professional expertise to forge a counterfeit appraisal report, forcing Richard to withdraw the auction bid. She then anonymously repurchased all the stolen coins at a low price. Subsequently, she gathered comprehensive evidence of her husband's infidelity and his malicious transfer of his personal estate, filing for divorce to ensure he left with nothing. Using her mother's coins, Sophie established the Women's Heritage Museum—a charitable organization dedicated to preserving women's collections and assisting women who have suffered emotional and financial harm. Through this initiative, she achieved self-redemption from the trauma of marital betrayal, transforming her personal advocacy into a collective cause of mutual support among women, ultimately realizing her independence and spiritual elevation.
