Viola, a revered vampire saint, gave everything to save Prince Ryan from the curse in his veins, even losing her gift and her sight. Instead of devotion, he repaid her with Cecilia's betrayal and a cruel accusation. Alone and hunted, Viola crossed paths with the enigmatic Caspar. One fateful, drugged encounter restored her vision and left her bearing the Blood King's seal. She had no idea Caspar was Ryan's father and the ruler of their kind. When Viola was led to the gallows, Caspar claimed his authority, tore apart her betrothal, punished Ryan, and stood between her and death.
