When Ruan Qing’s mother falls critically ill and requires a rare blood transfusion, Ruan discovers that only Ji Yanli, a man she hardly knows, is a match. Desperate, she seeks his help, but Ji Yanli demands marriage in exchange for donating the blood. They sign a marriage agreement and register their wedding.
After the wedding, Ruan Qing returns to work, where her supervisor mocks her. Just as she’s about to apologize, Ji Yanli appears and steps in to defend her. She’s stunned to realize her “flash marriage” husband is actually the CEO. In a panic, her marriage certificate slips from her bag, and her colleagues are about to see it. Ruan Qing quickly deflects, but Ji Yanli is upset that she won’t go public with their marriage. He insists on keeping it private.
At work, Ruan Qing faces further sabotage from her boss, who plants expensive jewelry in her bag and accuses her of theft. To her surprise, Ji Yanli announces that she is the CEO’s wife, clearing her name.
