I KILLED HER

Zoe, a financial analyst, discovers her late grandfather’s horse-betting journal with the haunting line "I killed her". She uncovers the truth: Grandpa borrowed usurious loans to fund Grandma’s medical bills but lost all money on races; debt collectors’ hospital harassment triggered her fatal breakdown, and the ancestral villa was seized. Determined to atone for his lifelong guilt, Zoe shoulders massive long-term loans and sacrifices all comforts to repurchase the land after six years of struggle. She names the estate "The House of Confession", a quiet shelter for people to confront their faults. Later, she marries supportive investor Benjamin and raises her daughter Hope. Centered on an ancient ginkgo tree, the drama weaves intergenerational regret, redemption, reconciliation and the truth that mistakes can bloom into new hope.
