Lane finds himself in the body of a rebel leader about to be skinned alive by Emperor Julian. At the moment of death, he activates the Memory Rewrite System, implanting a false memory of his parents saving Julian with half a sweet potato during a deadly snow famine. That single memory flips everything. Julian starts protecting him, believing Lane is tied to his past salvation. From condemned rebel to the Emperor’s “trusted insider,” Lane rises overnight. Using imperial power as his weapon, he crushes corrupt officials and turns survival into a ruthless rise to the top of the Dawn Empire.
