In 1997, Li Fanfan saved Tang Jizhou’s life but vanished before he could thank her. For decades, Tang, now a powerful CEO, searched for her in vain. Fast forward to 2024: Li, now Li Shulan, is evicted by her son and daughter-in-law after being tricked into signing away her home. Her son even sells her as a bride to two abusive brothers in their rural village.
Disguised as a farmer, Tang moves into the same village to continue his search. He rescues Li from the brothers and hastily marries her to protect her. Keeping his identity a secret, Tang supports Li as she battles village bullies, defends her family’s ancestral hall, and reclaims her dignity.
Li reignites her passion for art, becoming a celebrated painter, unaware of Tang’s true identity or his lifelong devotion. Tang’s elaborate plans for a grand wedding finally reveal their shared past and his unyielding love. Together, they triumph over adversity, fulfilling their dreams and finding happiness.
