Hidden in a misty old alley lies Dragon’s Rest Teahouse, built atop a crumbling ancient seal gate to the fiery Dragon Realm. Its owner Caine, an immortal dragon guardian, has waited 3,700 years for Yue, his partner trapped behind the gate after sealing it to block destructive dragon creatures from flooding the human world.
Sophia, a mixed-blood dragon heiress carrying rare volatile dragonfire blood—the living key to the gate—stumbles into the teahouse amid her father Victor’s demolition plans for the block. Drawn to the teahouse’s hidden aura, she learns her blood awakens the fraying nine-layer seal.
As the seals crack one by one, the pair move from wary strangers to loyal co-guardians. Guided by elder dragon Chilin, they abandon lonely waiting to brace the gate together, bridging the rift between two realms. The quiet, bittersweet tale centers on mutual salvation, millennial longing, and a simple truth: cold tea can always be refilled.
