Trapped and abused for 20 years by her family, Aria is unexpectedly chosen as a political bride by brutal Italian mafia boss Dante instead of her favored sister Isabella. Though their marriage starts as a transaction, Dante secretly avenges Aria and tenderly guards her, and the two slowly fall for each other. Vengeful gangster Adrian pretends to be Aria’s late brother’s friend, revealing their father killed her brother while teaming up with jealous Isabella to kidnap Aria. Dante gets shot protecting her and nearly dies. After recovering, the couple join forces to defeat the villains. Aria lets go of her traumatic past, and Dante holds a heartfelt second wedding for her. A mysterious letter signed "N" hints her supposedly dead brother may still live, setting up a second season.
