Dragon-born princess Eleanor marries Cassius, son of the sea god. But their wedding night brings blood: his parents are murdered, the sacred trident shattered. Blinded by rage, Cassius kills her father, then keeps her captive — torturing her, letting his foster sister Flora abuse her until she loses her child, her sight, her soul. Eleanor decides to die. She will sacrifice her godhood to resurrect his parents and end the hatred forever. But as her divinity fades, the truth explodes into the light: Flora was the killer all along. Cassius breaks. He strips himself of godhood, storms the River Styx to bring her back — only to find Eleanor has forgotten him completely. He dies before the Galaxy Bridge, turning into a single raindrop that falls into the palm of the woman who no longer knows his name.
