Mixed dragon Elian bears the rare Twin Dragon Veins, deemed an outcast. After catching his boyfriend cheating with his sister, he drowns his sorrows in a tavern and spends one night with mysterious Kael. The next day, Elian finds Kael is the new academy principal and dragon crown prince, who seeks his veins to stabilize his runaway dragon soul. Framed by jealous sister Lydia and schemer Silas, Elian is misunderstood and expelled. He later discovers twin babies conceived that night and flees to a remote town for five years. Kael tracks him down, gradually learns the truth and humbly atones. When his treasonous brother Marcus attacks the family, Elian awakens his supreme Twin Dragon Vein power. Together they quash the rebellion. Kael kneels publicly to beg forgiveness, and the couple marries, reuniting as a happy family of four with a happy ending.
