In his past life, Victor was betrayed by his sons, sold for 100,000, and sent to the Meyan Border Region, where he died in a cold prison cell. In his final moments, he realized his neglected daughter was the only one trying to save him. Reborn in 1988, he faces greedy sons demanding money. This time, Victor smiles: “Want anything? Earn it with filial piety.” He changes his ways, protects his daughter, punishes his ungrateful sons, and seizes reform-era opportunities to rewrite his destiny.
